Birla Temple Jaipur

Birla Temple or Laxmi Narayan Temple, this elegant temple was built in 1988 and is well known for the intricate carvings on white marble. Located just below Moti Doongri, it is built on the land bought by the Birla Foundation from the Maharaja for a token sum of one rupee. The temple architecture is worth noticing and is described as a showcase of the continuing skills of the masons and he sculptors. There are beautiful statues of many deities inside the temple. While, on the outer walls various great historical personages and religious figures are depicted, which include Socrates, Zarathustra, Christ, Buddha and Confucius etc. The temple is located in Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg.
